Hi, I need the DOS APPEND command for vDos which is DOS 5.0, where can I download this command from? Alternatively is it possible to change the vDos reported dos version to 6.22.
Thanks for any help David

I don’t know where to download APPEND, though I neither have an idea what it would good for to a DOS program. Perhaps FreeDOS has it, else you have to Google… You can’t change the reported DOS version in vDos.

Hi Jos, Thanks for your help. I have some legacy software that APPEND helps to enforce the PATH, without it there's files that the system can't find even though the path is specified. I remember that FreeDOS does have it, are you saying that's the right version? I'll give it a go.
Thanks David

I can’t think of a DOS program that would need APPEND. I assume FreeDOS APPEND doesn’t test the DOS version like MS does to ensure it runs on the DOS version it came with. You indeed have to try.
