Hi Jos, I tried running my program with the new release (2019) and instantly got the following: UNHANDLED EXCEPTION 0D at 01E7:3E23 Error code: 0824AX = 000D BX = 4010 CX = 0000 DX = 0827SI = 0556 DI = 0F12 BP = 0FA6 SP = 0F98CS = 01E7 Limit = 81E0 segment #01 of C:\OPS-EXES\OPS-513F.EXEDS = 0CBF Limit = BFC0 segment #AE of C:\OPS-EXES\OPS-513F.EXEES = 0827 Limit = 0EC5 segment #64 of C:\OPS-EXES\OPS-513F.EXESS = 0D0F Limit = 0FFF- 01E7:3E1B 0A C0 74 12 3C 25 74 11 36 88 05 47 FE 4E EC 7F(the format is slightly screwed as I had to take a snapshot of the screen and then use Google Note to OCR the JPEG produced).
I ran with the /LOG option and the LOG file is attached.... vDos.log (232.16 KB)
The same program has been working under the 2018 release without giving an exception. I reran the program on the 2018 release and the compressed log file is also attached... vDos.log.7z (12.62 KB)
Does anything spring immediately to mind?
Cheers, Steve

In the offending instruction (MOV SS:[DI],AL) ES instead of the SS segment will be referenced. And DI (0F12) falls outside the limits. I’ll send you a (hopefully) corrected vDos.exe by wetransfer. If you could test that and report back.

Attached is the Log file created... vDos.log (205.37 KB) Steve

Hi Jos Latest version seems to work well apart from a problem with BEEP.WAV.
I shall start another thread when I have some timings as I suspect not many people will be worried about this. Steve
