Hi Jos,
I searched the forums but was unable to find any hint.
My problem is, since version 2018.xx.yy. the EURO sign is unoperable from our german keyboards.
So we stick with version 2017... is there something we missed here? Can we have it back and also use the new environment?
Thank you very much for your fantastic software (we are licensed) and efforts!
Gerd

You could use the old DOS method of Alt+128. But you mean AltGr+e doesn’t work. I’ll have a look.

You have to help me out. I first tested the Euro with the on-screen keyboard (set to German). That didn't work. I realized that on-screen keyboard has issues, so I tried the actual keyboard. No problem with AltGr+e (and others): Jos

Will be the codepage. The current one (set by Windows) is 850 (?); that has no Euro sign defined. Before 2018.05.01 the Euro was hardcoded to ASCII 128, but that ruled out the cedilla. In use by some languages, where the eventual Euro is assigned to another ASCII code. If codepage 1250 displays characters instead of lines/corners, add FONT=- to config.txt.

Hi Jos,
thank you for your hints. Yes your are right it's codepage dependent. But if we use 1250 instead of 850, with FONT=- set, it destroys our capital Umlauts: Ä,Ö,Ü and the ß.
When I can find the time I'll experiment a bit on this - but we use this for data entry - every additional keystroke has to be avoided.
Anyway, I appriciate your quick responses!
Best regards. Gerd

Then it would be codepage 1250, but w/o FONT=-.
