You should already have one on your desktop. Change the autoexec.txt file to start your program. Eventually have a look at the FAQs page of the vDos website.

Thanks just testing at moment on a domain. So will buy if it works ok.
One thing is in DOS (on xp). the machine was mapped to LPT port in net use command to print to network printer
In vDOS if you choose the printer it throws up a windows print, letting you choose a windows printer. But when you hit print it just closes vDos. So assume there is some config there to make printing work.
or do you put a net use command in the auto exec to map the lot port like you did in DOS
New machines are Windows 10 Pro. They then have a mapped drive to the server where dos was installed. (z drive). they then launch vDos via a shortcut in their Windows 10 machine.
PS I know hardly anything about DOS. Its before my time in IT, and I am not a programmer.

No idea why I wasn’t notified of your post, isn’t the first time with proboards…
Printing should work, with or without config.txt settings. The only issue in some situations would at this moment be printing to “Microsoft Print to PDF” or “Microsoft XPS Document Writer”.
NET USE doesn’t apply to vDos; that only supports printer redirection, not printing to Windows (GDI) printers.
Read the Printing.pdf document. If you still have the problem; a #LPTx.asc file is created before the printing process starts, submit that to verify vDos doesn’t choke on your printer output.
