I have run my self developed dos based Music database application on Windows 10 32bit, but under the 64bit version I am receiving a DOS 4 error when running my application as can be seen from the attached picture.
In Windows 10 64bit version I have created an environmental variable for set clipper=f60 (see attached picture). I am given to understand that the values which went into the config.sys file are no longer necessary in Windows 10. Could it be that my environmental variable for clipper is incorrect, or could the DOS 4 error be as the result of something else?
When running under DOS, the installation notes which I wrote were as follows:
"Before MUSIC.EXE can be run, please ensure the following:
1: The AUTOEXEC.BAT must contain the following line: set clipper=f60
2: The CONFIG.SYS file should have BUFFERS AND FILES settings with the following values as minimum values:
buffers=45 files=60"

The clipper=f60 environment variable tells your program how many file handles to claim from the operating system (vDos, not Windows). For MUSIC.EXE to find that variable, you have to add the line “set clipper=f60” to autoexec.txt.

Where did you get this program? I would like to look at it
