Hi, I'm using vDos to run legacy dos software that uses Hebrew display, can you suggest a font I can download to receive Hebrew display.
I'm also using DOSprn for printing which includes codepage 862, so I don't have any problem printing.
Also could you confirm that I can use vDos with Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 10.
Thanks for your help David

I bet your Windows system already has fonts with Hebrew characters defined, so Consolas? vDos doesn’t run on Windows XP, not much sense to support that at all, while vDos switched using some API functions (as advised by MS) to the more modern equivalents that aren’t available under XP.

Your program may use a DOS driver that won’t work with vDos. Can you link to a copy of the program?

Using:
FONT = C:\WINDOWS\FONTS\consola
Has no effect produces the 1st attachment.

Don’t think DOSPRN has builtin fonts, so your Windows system should at least have Hebrew characters for Courier.
You could first check what codepage is reported by CHCP at the vDos command prompt. If it isn’t 862 change it by CHCP 862. You should then be fine to go, vDos builtin font also contains Hebrew characters. Right to left orientation could be a problem, but both screenshots appear the same (except for the characters.
If you search for “ttf Hebrew monospace”, you should find several fonts.

Thanks Jos,
CHCP 862 worked perfectly! - everything's in Hebrew now as it should be.
Best thing about vDos is your support - I'm not just shouting into the night.
Thanks David
