Hello,
My company has a DOS program they've been using for years. We take data produced from an excel sheet that will be copy and pasted into this program, currently running in windows XP mode. Looking forward to the future we know XP mode will be a thing of the past. So I have moved to making this software work under a different emulation. I currently have the program running in VDOS with all the drives mouted properly, however when I try to paste only the first character pastes into the program, the remaining characters are pasted to the command line, which is not visible until you exit the program. Is there any solution to this? I'm not entirely sure how the program is set up as far as how it was written, so I don't know if there would be any conflicts. I'm not an expert in this field but I'll do my best to help as ,much as I can if anyone can help. I appreciate any advice, Thanks in advance!!

No idea why your program would retrieve only the first copied character. The remaining characters obviously stay in the copy/paste buffer, to be picked up by the command processor the moment you exit the program. I can’t think of a logical explanation for this behavior. So I would need some test setup from you to reproduce this.
