Hello, I use the dos program Accountview (Accview). This is started via the accview.bat batch file (see attachment accview.txt). In Accview it is possible to make a backup of an administration. The program then creates a directory (e.g. S19BK40) in which the backup is written. The directory is neatly created by Accview. So far, it's going well. However, I then get the error message that the files cannot be written to the newly created directory. When checked, the files are indeed not written and the directory is empty while you would expect the backup files here. Does anyone have an idea how this can be solved. In the attachment the autoexec.txt and Vdos.log containing the error messages. Thanks in advance. Kind regards, Stan Attachments:ACCVIEW.txt (171 B)

As communicated directly, I would need a copy of your program and some (even rudimentary) data to determine why Accview refuses to create a backup.
Requesting additional data and the program to reproduce a problem mostly already ‘solves’ the problem. That request is just ignored, while it would take a lot of my time to investigate the problem.
Don’t think any vDos user will be able to help you ‘out of the blue’.

Thank you for your reply. I do understand that my problem is too specific to investigate.
