Hi Jos, first say thanks for your great work and releasing another new Version of vDos. As you know is my focus of interest to access cs hosted btrieve db in win10 x64. So i downloaded the new release to test if ists possible to get access to my psql tables. In the config.txt i added the line "BTRIEVE = w3btrv7.dll" (i hope this is the right way) to activate the communication to the server service. If here something wrong please advise the correct way. After adding this line vDos opens without any error message, then i tried to test the communication such very simple to export one table with btutil (btutil.EXE -Dump r:\mobz01bo.dat r:\mobz01bo.txt r:\mobz01bo.sta). In this case vDos freezes with a non closable exception message box saying "Oops, illegal CALLBACK(10)". Some ideas what's going wrong or are there some mistakes in my config. Thx, Robert

If w3btrv7.dll came with your Pervasive version, "BTRIEVE = w3btrv7.dll" should be correct. "Oops, illegal CALLBACK(xx)" is a nasty exception. Would mean vDos internal data got overwritten by either the glue or the Pervasive interface. I’ll try to reproduce this and come back to you.

Yes this dll is from my psql installation....
If it helps here is the log from vdos:
vDos 2020.03.01 C: => (Local) C:\vDos\ R: => (Local) C:\HGLApp\Data\ T: => (Local) C:\vDos\Temp\
46.79 Execute: btutil.EXE - -Dump r:\mobz01bo.dat r:\mobz01bo.txt r:\mobz01bo.sta Int 0 => 55f:0166 Int 2f unhandled call AB00
Also i mentioned that \ and @ ist not reachable with Alt+gr (German Keyboard) anymore!
Thanks for support,
Robert

Having some trouble with w3btrv7.dll, the interface returns “Status 3012: Local engine is not accessible to the MicroKernel router”, even with my last test environment. So that will take some time. Will first have a look at AltGr, doesn’t work at my side either, so that should be easy to fix.

Windows reports AltGr on a rather particular way: Right Alt Down, Ctrl Down, but not Left Ctrl or Right Ctrl down(!). To avoid interference with the (US) keyboard w/o a AltGr key (Right Alt = plain Right Alt), I once added a fix for that. In 2020.03.01 I added a second fix at a deeper level. Both fixes together however cancelled AltGr, so I removed the old one. Hope it’s correct now.
I also added logging for the Btrieve glue, the function called and returned status if an error. Perhaps you could run vDos again with the log option. I did a silent update of vDosSetup.
