hello people that still need this product
i surely do
i've been using vdos since 2010-10-19 (version), and i haven't changed it since then
maybe i should, but the nagging screen stops me, i havent even tried to test it
my question
i always use the key combination select-ctrl-win to copy and ctrl-win-v to paste
in the program i use and i don't know why, there's a limitation to copy only 15 characters, i consulted with jos, but i got used to it; annoying but not to kill anyone over this, one gets used to it
i just installed my program on al win-10 x64 and to my surprise the copy key combination, do not work
any comments ??
i tried to look up this problem, but the keywords i use didn't pop up any leads
the blogs here and at sourceforge are so big, that i decided to put my shyness a side and ask
thank you

The vDos nag is displayed once every 3 hours, but only if operated networked.
You would mean version 2014.10.19, the vDos project started in 2012 and went public in 2013. Some key combinations got meanwhile reserved by Windows itself. I don’t recall you consulted me for the 15 characters copy limitation, it is simply not there in vDos.
Best to install the latest vDos version (2020.03.01) and consult its documentation for what key combinations can (still) be used.

yes, i'm sorry for the date typo, it is 2014-10-19; and it its doing fine
with all my talking (writing) i made you miss my point; which is
"i always use the key combination select-ctrl-win to copy and ctrl-win-v to paste - i just installed my program on a win-10 x64 and to my surprise the copy/paste key combination, do not work"
any comments ?
and thank you for the fine work you've don with vdos

So the cause of that Clipper 15 character limitation was already discussed in that post of February 2016. I tend to forget about resolved issues rather quickly.
I didn’t miss your point: Windows 10 reserved some extra key combinations for itself with the 2017 Fall Creators Update. Like Ctrl+Win+C/V for <Turn color filters on or off>/<Open shoulder taps>. So those key combinations don’t work as before in vDos.

thank you for your answer, jos
if you didn't mention it, surely we don't have a new key combination for copy/paste from and to vdos from and to windows 10
live long and prosper

As of version 2018.0501 it is: Win+Ctrl+left mouse click starts selecting a rectangle block of text. Drag the mouse and release the mouse button: The selected text is copied to the Window Clipboard. Win+Ctrl+right mouse click pastes the Windows Clipboard text. Win+Ctrl can be omitted if the DOS program doesn’t use the mouse, config.txt: no MOUSE = ON.
