Hi I have an old dos program that uses a dongle on a com port. How do I setup config.txt so that the program reads my COM1 port? Every time I start program the printer goes bezerk! I’ve added the COM1 = “COM1”: line in config.txt. and have set the com variables in device manager. Am I missing something? Thanks.

What does MODE COM1: at Windows command prompt report?

Thanks Jos, yeah it reports different settings than what device manager gave. Like baud reports 1200 where DM says 9600. So this may be the problem. How do I use the Mode command in config.txt?

There’s no such option in config.txt nor a command. You’ll have to do this at the Windows command prompt before vDos is started. If it isn’t persistent, create a batch file?
