Was just going to make a donation when checking my PayPal account noticed price increases for Aug 2nd
On YouTube I see a variety of donation services like Patreon(sp?) and also a JOIN options to make a regular donation.
Have you explored them yet and also considered some additional YouTube marketing activities?? Let me know if you have an alternative to PayPal already. If not I'll have to pay the current 3.49% + 0.49 transaction fee, USD. I'm hope there isn't some USA to Netherlands transaction fee on top of PayPal's fees.
BTW I'm looking to get the latest source codes to modify for a CA-Clipper a dBase compatible compiler with several addon libraries. It worked just fine with Windows XP Pro. That program crashes with every like DOS, DOSBOX, VirtualBox /w MS-DOS or FreeDOS combination I tried to date. Re-building a DOS program seems like going home to a simpler life pasted. My development system from 1990s was IBM OS/2 Warp 4 plus all the updates. It still boots and runs just fine.
IBM OS/2 Warp 4 was the precursor to Win NT. It lives on as a 32-bit OS with multi-processing from a company IBM licensed to sell updated versions, named ArcaOS. The latest release was August 31, 2020. CA-Clipper has several clones like Open Source Harbour & xHarbour. Those have up to date ported implementations for DOS, Windows, Linux (32- and 64-bit), Unix (32- and 64-bit), and macOS. These have ported & updated libraries as well & SQL bindings. Even with these currently support tools I'm not yet ready to abandon the current DOS version. Redevelopment costs both time and money.
I'm going to have to reconstruct the program then debug it line by line until I find the failure. Luckily, I have all the source and a running Windows 7. One issue is to be able to increase RAM XMS or EMS and go HIGH to squeeze the max out of the 1st 640k. Full speed ahead.
