The /P option of SET is supported by Window CMD, not DOS.
You would have to use some external DOS CHOICE program or 4DOS.
Better yet, create 2 separate vDos shortcuts with their own config.txt and autoexec.txt files (as mentioned in Readme.pdf).

THANKS FOR THE INFO, I HAD TRIED WHAT YOU TOLD ME BEFORE BUT NEVER GOT THE SETUP QUITE CORRECT, SO WENT BACK AND TRIED EVERYTHING FROM NEW, AND I AM WORKING FINE NOW. SOMETIMES SETTINGS CAN BE SO SIMPLE AND YET I WAS DOING IT WRONG. I THINK YOUR VDOS IS THE BEST THING TO COME ALONG IN A LONG TIME AND HAVE MY PROGRAMS RUNNING FOR THREE OF MY CUSTOMERS ON WINDOWS-10. UP TO THIS TIME EVERY SETUP HAD TO BE WINDOWS-7 32BIT. THANKS SO MUCH WILL MAKE A DOMATION NEXT WEEK

What Vdos commands must be declared (imbedded in autoexec.txt) to access an external Hard Drive (needed for the backup)

USE DOS_Drive_Letter: Windows_path
