Hi,
My DOS application (yo.exe - a Yagi antenna modeling program) wants to see a math coprocessor before it will run. The docs say it "requires a PC with a 287+387 or better". Currently, I am maintaining an old XP machine just to host this application. But it sure would be nice if I could run this in vDos and be done with the old computer :-)
Is there some switch in vDos to make the application think that there is a coprocessor onboard?
TIA,
Bryan Rambo (Long term vDos licensee)

Don’t know why yo.exe doesn’t detect the FPU, could you post a copy of it?

Hi Jos,
Is there a way to PM a copy to you? I am morally squeamish about posting here, due to the author's licensing terms (even though it's been orphan-ware for many years).
Thanks,
Bryan

Couldn't get WeTransfer to play nice :-( Just emailed you a Dropbox link, hope that was okay?

The “Coprocessor required” was already fixed in version 2021.05.01. With that YO however complains “VGA required”.
YO reads and writes directly to the video card ports, that support/emulation was even further stripped in 2021.05.01.
It also starts/runs in graphics mode. All in all a lost cause for vDos. You’ll be better off with DOSBox or one of its mods, those also supports better than 640x480 graphic modes.
