I'm trying to get an old application running on vDos to retire our old Windows 2000 pc. Problem: In the menu, the keyboard does work fine. When i try to open/create a file, the program doesnt register any input. Steps for reproducing: 1. Extract the zip file so the dos-path in vDos becomes C:\ISIS\SYS etc. 2. Run isis.bat 3. Press D and C to create a new database. 4. Try to enter a filename. Attachments:ISIS.zip (390.64 KB)

I first thought your program would get its keyboard input from INT 9 that isn’t supported by vDos. No problem, only tested up to entering the database name, however with my development version. 2021.05.01 indeed doesn’t pass on keystrokes to ISIS. It will be real ancient (a CP/M port?) and use DOS 1.x console input. Some slight changes were made to those functions, and so explain it works at my side. I’ll send you a copy of my development version. But mind, that is no official release, and could have bugs. And DOS 1.x console input remains limited with for instance editing and the like.
