Hello
We have a legacy application "arev" that currently is running on the windows xp machine. However due to the increased security risk, we have to get rid of the windows xp machines in my company. The plan is to move the application to a windows 2012 server. We will need to configure the vdos to support the following configuration. Please advise if this is doable and how to. Billions of thanks in advance.
dos=high, umb
device=%SystemRoot%\system32\himem.sys
files=250

Those config.sys/nt directives are meaningless in vDos. DOS isn’t loaded/executing in the virtual memory, XMS provided by default, 255 global file handles available. Arev should just work fine.

Jos, much thanks, I will get the end user to test it and will let you know the outcome.
