We are a very small company (2 people) with our own developed accounting software. We have been struggling for years to get this well proven 16 bit program to run on modern systems. At the moment we can only do this with virtual PC. We thought about licensing/registering vDos, because there are some places where we need networking, but for the time being we can't even run the program under vDos. We are trying to use the latest version of vDos under Windows 10 64 bit. We are not launching a batch file, but an exe on 32 bit systems, where our program runs perfectly fine at the moment. Unfortunately, I am a hardware/networking specialist (my partner is the software guy), but it fell to me to do the "noble" task of getting the program to work without a virtual PC. I've really browsed the forum a lot and read ideas, but so far I've only got to the above message "Illegal opcode 63 at 9FA2:18688" and where is the printing issue :-(
Can you help me? Thank you.

If the program already crashes as it is started, you could submit a copy of the executable to have a look at.
Don’t know what you mean with printing issue.

Real specific to the compiler used, the DOS extender, and a complicated issue. I sent a PM to follow up.
