I just downloaded and started using vDOS yesterday (version 2021.05.01) on my Windows 10 64-bit system. All my products from WordPerfect work well (WordPerfect 5.0, DataPerfect, Calendar 2.0, and File Manager). I realize I'm living in the past, but I love my old programs. I have been unable to load Lotus 123 version 3.1+ under vDOS; I get system error 26113. (Again, I realize it's an old program, and I saw an old forum post on this site saying there are substitutes and the program is old, but I love it and have reasons that are valid for me to still use it.)
I've been able to run 123 in DOSBox after changing parts of the config.sys file (the original configuration file had xms=true and ems=true, and after changing both values to false, 123 loads and works.) Unfortunately, the WordPerfect programs don't run as well under DOSBox as they do under vDOS. Is there any similar fix available in vDOS to get my beloved 123 running in vDOS? Thank you! Steve

Some versions of Lotus 123 seem problematic. The cryptic “system error 26113” doesn’t reveal what bothers 123. I’ll have a look, but don’t get your hopes up.
You know about the vDosWP package of Edward Mendelson (http://www.columbia.edu/~em36/wpdos/vdoswp.html)?

Jos First, an apology: I'm probably responding in the wrong manner because I can't figure out how else to reply.
I do appreciate your answer. I checked the vDosWP site before I posted the original message, and I just rechecked it. The site only seems to cover WordPerfect products; I didn't see Lotus 123 mentioned at all. (Ironically, the site mentions PlanPerfect -- the software I gave up years ago to use 123.)
Thank you, Steve

I think the point of Jos's comment was that you might want to use the vDosWP system to run WordPerfect, because it has additional features for printing, etc. As you say, the system won't help with Lotus 1-2-3.

Edward is correct, I mentioned vDosWP because you use several WP products.
To Lotus 123 version 3.1+: It uses 80486 instructions while vDos emulates a 80386. So you'll have to stick with DOSBox for Lotus 123, or use an older version of 123.

Edward and Jos, Thank you for your interest and for getting back to me. Using old software can be a problem, but vDOS makes some of the applications much better. Steve
