I just updated to version 2022.05.01 and noticed this change:
Taskbar notification when vDos isn't focused and goes idle (DOS program awaits input)
The blinking in the taskbar is very distracting and not desirable. Is there a way to disable this new feature?
Thanks

Seemed a nice addition as some complain vDos being slower than Windows 32/NTVDM.
You then get notified if you switched to for instance checking your mail as the DOS program is busy.
I myself also hate blinking stuff, so tried to avoid that by setting the blink rate at 10 seconds. Didn’t anticipate Windows then still lets that notification blink even as the vDos window gets focused.
Download vDosSetup again, it has a fix to circumvent Windows insisting to flash that notification.
If you don’t like it at all, add this line to config.txt:
FLASHIDLE = OFF
