How can I turn on old style ASCII symbols on the screen? I mean especially twice pseudo line, like on this picture. This is one my simple system which measure 64 signals from a standard Game port. [Windows 10 can not work with Standard joystick port, but this is another theme.]
I wondered weather is this possible? The twice line symbols on the some of boxes, like "Tank" and "Burner". This is the wrong example, which I see every time on vDOS:
And this is the right example, which I see typically on every another emulator:
What do you think, Jos? Is this possible to correct? Thanks before hand.

The single pixel lines are supposed to give DOS screens a more modern and cleaner look.
If you want the ‘original’ lines, you have to select an external font like Consolas. In config.txt for instance:
FONT = -C:\WINDOWS\FONTS\consola

Thank you. It works almost fine, with exception of "Closed solenoid". I'm applying some examples: imagizer.imageshack.com/img924/3581/AGMuxV.jpgBut, here [grayscale 80x25] is still with smooth pixels: imagizer.imageshack.com/img924/39/pEHHWR.jpgHere [grayscale 80x25] is with the original pixel pattern: imagizer.imageshack.com/img922/691/Uf4Qsk.jpgThe once good in this modes is that they doesn't require Floyd-Stainberg dithering (modulation). Directly give a picture from 24-bit image. This is grayscale 80x200 EGA and VGA+. On CGA 80x100 is similar. This is not important for the time being. Just like an example:
The Microsoft's grayscale arrange looks like smooth, but is different than this on real hardware. That's why I want old style symbols. I hope this is easy for correction.
Thank you before hand again.

If by "Closed solenoid" you mean | (ASCII 124): Find a font where the line is broken.
Shaded blocks (ASCII 176-178) are always displayed in solid dimmed colors. Independent of what font is used. Dithering by pixels was just a limitation of two color bitmap fonts. Such patterns in a TrueType font are also against the concept of vector based graphics. The presentation of these three characters won’t change. You would so be better off with DOSBox (or a mod).

I mean exactly ASCII(10h), which is symbolizing movable part of the electrical coil. This symbol correspond of passability of the element.

I've found Lucinda console "lucon.ttf" in WindowsXP directory. Even that here is some gray lines on the screen. I'm not sure what is the reason! According me it is acceptable disgusting - works fine.
