This is one my library which build vector pixel graphics in text mode. Especially appropriate for junior software developers. On the picture you may see that some symbols, for instance VERTEX function on your right down, looks like different. With strange symbol's background. This is thus, because I use blinking. Those register correspond of address port 3D8h, bit 5.
Can you make this symbols to blink or just to be with low brightness? Or just to be without ugly background? Thanks.

As said, vDos ignores most read/writes to the emulated video card registers. The high bit of the background color nibble is always considered to be the high color bit. Not the blink switch, there’s no blinking stuff in vDos.
So you would have to set the attribute bytes to for instance 0x0c (light blue on black) instead of 0x8c (light blue on gray). Or use DOSBox (or mod) that supports blinking.
