A .PIF file is normally a Windows-only file that describes how a DOS program is to be started (by Windows/NTVDM).
Can’t access any sub menus means those are shown, but nothing happens selecting one?
You could start vDos with the log option (….\vDos.exe /log), and look in the generated vDos.log file for invalid paths or other errors.
