A BIG sigh at first: Will have to go into debugging why some ESC-P commands seemingly aren’t handled correctly. I fed _lpt1.asc to my vDos development version, at the command line: COPY _lpt1.asc LPT1. Surprise, using NovaPDF that gave attached PDF document. Had a look at my config.txt: A mere "lpt1 = tio:0". Then tried vDos 2022.05.01, same result. Also with "Microsoft Print to PDF". Could you download and install 2022.05.01 again. Some changes were made to the first release. Though not related to printing, strange… Jos Attachments:vDos.pdf (24.97 KB)

I did my first tests with NovaPDF since it is my default printer. And said I got the same result selecting "Microsoft Print to PDF". If you don’t need the extended functionalities (and so user complexity) of NovaPDF, I advise to use the freeware BullZip PDF Printer.
The mentioned LPT1 setting just happened to be active in my config.txt, with 25 others (to test settings) remmed-out.
The printout is only incorrect with your laptop? Check the settings/selection in the program to control the printer. Those will differ from the clients PC.

I explained the issue, nothing to find out for me.
Have a look at the vDos lpt1.asc files of the two laptops: They’ll differ because the program sends different data to the printer at each laptop.
