Hi all!
I have been using vdos for a while, and it really is a very great help for using my old but still good working dos programs that I can't miss.
There are two things however for which I would be glad to find a solution.
First, is it possible to install a command buffer that remembers the last entered commands on the command line. That would be very helpful. And second, is it possible to configure vdos in a way that the 25*80 output window becomes scrollable and allows to see previous output by scrolling up.

For a command buffer you could use 4DOS, that also has far more options.
No way to get a scrollable view of the vDos window. But why not instead use the command line processor (CMD) of Windows?

Thank you for the hint regarding 4dos. I'll have a look at that.
The output comes from dos programs. I can't use cmd on 64bit windows to run dos programs.

You could redirect the output to a file, and show that?

Yes, sure. Thats what I do now, but it would easier if the dos window was scrollable

The original versions of dos include a program more.com. You can pipe the output of a program to more.com, and the program more displayed that output one page after the other. Not as good as being able to scroll, but better than nothing. Unfortunately, vdos does not seem to include such a program, and trying to use more.com from the original dos6.2 yields to the error message "wrong DOS version".
Any suggestion to solve that?

FreeDOS has a more.com, you could try that.

If you use 4DOS with vDos, you probably can send the output to 4DOS-list-command (with scrolling functionality).
dir | list
works.
