why dos my program suddenly exit in the vdos emulator without error message?


can I find out what is the cause of vdos arriving out or closing my dos program application?

Without knowing what program you’re referring to, hard to tell.

But mostly it is the program closing itself.

above the autoexec settings.txt whether something is wrong and whether vdos can give a message why the application suddenly exited or closed itself

I never heard of the CAMUS.EXE program. vDos is not that intelligent to know an application exits unintentionally.

You could remove the last “exit” line so the vDos window is kept open at the command prompt. Perhaps that will show something.
