Hello,
I have an old DOS programme vom 1985. Via the command line I overgive the filename : call objhex.exe file1
The problem is that the software does not receive "file1" as filename. It receives a lot of strange characters as filename.
If I use DOSBox it works correctly.
But I prefere vDOS, because the second DOS programme, which I call is much much faster executed in vDOS than in DOSBOX.
Thank you for your help Martin

Don’t know if this would be the issue:
CALL only makes sense starting a second batch file from a batch file. Instead of jumping to the second batch file, an EXIT from that will cause the first to be continued.
The CALL should just be ignored with an executable (.COM/.EXE). So what happens if you omit the leading CALL?

Hi Jos,
unfortunately same behaviour.
There is also the same behaviour if I start the application from c: or from mapped network folder ( USE command ).
Best regards Martin

If you start vDos.exe with the log option (....vDos.exe /log), what is listed in the generated vDos.log file after the line LOADEXEC...?

OBJHEX malfunctions if it is loaded at a too low address. Use EATMEM before starting OBJHEX to decrease low memory by at least 35KB (EATMEM 35). Jos Attachments:EATMEM.COM (239 B)
