Hello There,
is it possible to just copy a vDos Installation Folder into a diffrent area like a netzwork share without a problem? I am asking for two reasons
1. Licencing --> We are planing to buy the network licence, thus i dont know if it is possible to licence two installation in the same network at ease 2. Missing registry Key during the installation?
Thanks for all replies

vDos is fully portable, so you can indeed just copy vDos.exe (eventually also autoexec.txt and config.txt) to other locations. It is even recommended to have vDos.exe at the server, instead of having multiple copies of it at workstations.
vDosSetup is mostly for convenience, it (like vDos) doesn’t access the registry at all.

Thanks for the reply. How does the Licencing work if its stored in mutiple locations?

If present, vDos validates the license.txt file in the directory of the started executable. One vDos.exe at the server would require only one license.txt in the network. Else you have to copy it to the other locations of vDos.exe.
