Hi We have a share mapped to F: that everyone use for a specific app In the dos auto exec.txt we also have
USE F: \\HP-SRV08\SYS
CALL F:\ORDER.BAT
Is this disk mapping separated from the "outer" windows environment? What I mean, is there a problem if the share letter is identical with the one used in Windows but points to another system? Sounds crazy but I would like to understand.
So in Windows, F: points to \\HP-SRV07\SYS and in vdos it points to\\HP-SRV08\SYS
:/ Greetings!

Windows and vDos drive letters are unrelated.
F: in Windows programs resolves to \\HP-SRV07\SYS, F: in vDos (DOS programs) to \\HP-SRV08\SYS. No problems or conflicts. If you would start a Windows program from inside vDos F: points to \\HP-SRV07\SYS for that program.
