Hi there!
We use vDos to run an old database program. The vDos exe and the database programm exe and also the database are saved on a fileserver. Since we bought the domain option and not the user licence, everyone could start our vDos installation while someone else is already working on the database.
This is of course not that good ). Is there any option, batchscript or any way/idea you have to make sure that vDos runs only one time in the network?
Thanks a lot!

Although not designed for this purpose, you could add to config.txt something like: COM9 = "file":
COM9 can eventually be any other DOS COM/LPT port you don’t use. file has to be an existing file. vDos will try to open that exclusively. If it’s already open, an exception will be thrown: “Couldn’t link DOS COM9 to Windows file”.

I just tried this with a collegue and it seems to be working really good! I'll have to be aware of this change the next few weeks to know if I or others encounter any problem.
Thank you very much for this great idea and your super quick response!
