I have LPT1 set to use the default printer with LPT1 = SEL: "" in config.txt so the users don't have to specify a printer with each output. But when the computer is accessed via GoToMyPC and printing is set to use the GoToMyPC printer as default, the print output from vDos seems to disappear (except for being in the #lpt1 files). The vDos log shows "Internal printing xxx bytes". Since I am the only one that normally uses GoToMyPC, I suppose I can just take the LPT1 line out of my config.txt and select the printer each time.

If you use the PC locally as well as via GoToMyPC, you’ll either indeed have to remove the LPT1 line, or use a second setup (config.txt) for remote access. I never used GoToMyPC, I guess it doesn’t actually change the Windows default printer. Though then the output would go to the default local printer…

I only noticed this thread today, so vince may not see this answer:
It's been a long time since I used GoToMyPC, but I think it has an option to print to the default printer on the remote system instead of to the GoToMyPC printer.

I used to do all our printing with GoToMyPC but when they raised their price (from 100$ a year per PC to 500$) I found RemotePC and have been using it ever since. We use it with Vdos and it works seamless. You get 100 pc license for 500$ a year and now we are running 15 computers remote. I think you can get 10 for around 100$. Theirs even transvers it as a pdf and you have the option to print it at your remote location or to save the pdf and that is great for our DOS ordering system. We can just save the Purchased order we want to email to a vender as a pdf and saves us having to scan it.
