Copy the Windows XP directory containing CALDIV.exe to C:\vDos in Windows 11.
Assuming it’s named CALDIV, replace the contents of autoexec.txt with:
USE R: \\server2040\GPS CD CALDIV CALDIV.EXE PAUSE
Save autoexec.txt and start vDos by the Desktop shortcut. If it works, replace the PAUSE command by EXIT. If not, post what error message is displayed.
If CALDIV is mainly graphical orientated, it’s probably better to use DOSBox instead.

It doesn't work, I erased everything because I think I did everything wrong. I would like to start with the start, as mentioned in these photos. 1. I put the vDos folder in the root of my hard drive C: (see photo 1) 2. I put the MENS folder in Root C: (see photo 2) 3. The CALDIV.EXE file is located inside (see photo 3) 4. I created the desktop shortcut of Vdos.exe I would like to run the CALDIV.EXE program by opening vdos.exe from my desktop? Is your vDos software a demo version or a final version?

Since you copied the CALDIV (MENS) directory to C:, add a first line to autoexec.txt:
USE C: C:\
So you have 5 lines in there.
The vDos installation program (vDosSetup) creates the Desktop shortcut, so step 4 puzzles me.
There no such thing as a demo version of vDos.

Hello Jos, I managed to launch my program, however when I want to click with my mouse on the file menu it does not work see photo 1)
On the other hand it works with the keyboard key Alt + F I can use the arrows of the keyboard (see photo 2) When I do File ==> Open and there a window opens and I need my mouse but I can't do anything with it I have to click on BON.YXZ but vDos does not react. (see photo 3) The other problem I can not use my keyboard after ESC does not work it looks like something is missing !! Do you know where the problem comes from?

Have a look at (open) config.txt. There’s a line: rem MOUSE = ON.
If you want the DOS mouse enabled, delete the leading “rem “. Save config.txt and restart vDos.
BTW, even without a mouse you should be able to navigate around by [Shift]Tab, Arrow keys, Space and Enter.
Normally ESC is used to step back, cancel or exit the program. CALDIV uses that for some other functionality?

Hello Jos, It's great, that faith the mouse works in the program. You overcame me I am not a programmer nor a computer scientist and for me all this is new and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help. I still need your help to make my program 100% operational and here are my questions: 1.my program is in C: \ Mens 2. the Vdos.exe is a shortcut on my desktop (it works) 3. Once I run my program I have to search with a folder that is on my server (X: \) and the folder where I have my files is in my X server: \\ S2400 \ R Server \ GPS \ bon.yxz. Example in photo: Is there a way that my program recognizes the server (X: \) or else I have to make a configuration in config.txt or autoexect.txt, if so how? The pregram recognizes my file on the C: \ disc but when I give the location to save it as it tells me (not possible)! how can i fix this? ==> In directories I have to put X: \ and the program cannot find it! ==> Units: [C: [C_DRIVE]] I must also see the X: \ and the the program does not see! The CALDIV.EXE does not work but this is not a problem because the real launch of the program is MENU.BAT and it does work. I'm missing two things: 1. Find access to the R server once the program is started! 2. Be able to save my files in the same source (R server)

You have to tell vDos what Windows drives/paths will be available with what DOS drive letters. In autoexec.txt add the line:
USE <DOS_drive_letter>: <Windows_path>
So for instance: USE X: \\S2400\RServer\GPS\

Hello Jos, The program recognizes my R: \ disk, it's great, on the other hand in the autoexect.txt file I noted all this and the vDos does not run, I wrote what you gave me ask USE C: C: \ USE R: R: \ CD MENS CALL MENU.BAT PAUSE or EXIT (it doesn't change anything) And there, the vDos does not want to be executed, on the other hand when I erase CALL MENU.BAT PAUSE or EXIT The vDos is launched and from the base there is written C: \ MENS> I just write CALL MENU.BAT and my program starts up, it's strange isn't it? I notice a problem in the launching of calculation I have an error which appears (IIIegal opcode 63 at 0438: 1962) and the program closes! Do you know where the error comes from and why the vDos does not launch the program directly?

I already sent you a PM about the program not starting. Caused by a silly intro that displays a logo in graphic mode. vDos first has to establish a text mode window before it eventually switches to graphic mode.
Don’t really know about the “Interruption du calcul”. The next vDos exception will be caused by this. Could be your program tests in a specific manner for the presence of a FPU. When you got the program up and running, I could send you a version of vDos that takes care of that. Though no guarantee that will actually be the fix.
