I just installed vDOS (version 2021.05.01). I want to use it to run Quick BASIC 4.5. Dir structure is C:\vDOS\QB45 Installation seemed to go OK. I start vDOS and get a command line. Then I start Quick BASIS by typing qb (I don't recall there ever being a batch file).
The Quick BASIC screen appears but it's frozen. It accepts no keyboard or mouse commands. And I have to close the window using Task Manager. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Please help. Thank you.

QB programs should run w/o problems. The QB IDE however uses INT9/IRQ1 to communicate with the keyboard. vDos doesn’t support that low level interface, so the IDE won’t notice any keypresses. You have to uncomment the line “rem MOUSE = ON” in config.txt for the mouse to work.
For QB program development by the IDE you essentially have to use DOSBox or one of its mods.
