Hello Jos, I just updated to windows 11 22H2 one of our computers and this computer as a printer server. Prior to the update it worked as expected when printing with vDos from another computer, but the problem occurred after update to 22H2. Here are the details: Printer Brand & Model: EPSON LX-310 (I have reinstalled the driver for the printer after update to the new OS). Client OS Version: Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19044.2130]vDos Version: 2022.05.01 Config.txt settings: vDos.log (853 B) Do you have a clue what is causing the problem? Thanks, Gabriel.

Wouldn’t be a first, Windows update messing up printing.
I tested printing with 2 22H2 PC’s, no problems.
Changed the error message “Could not initialize printer” to “Could not connect to printer” so with RAW it reflects more what’s wrong.
Did you verify the PC ‘s IP address is still the same, and the printer is shared as “EP310”? Does the printer show at the other PC in Explorer, and can you eventually connect to that?

Yes the ip address is still the same, the share name for the printer is EP310, but looks like its purely a connection problem from windows 10 21H2 to windows 11 22H2 after the update. I have made a screen recording about it. You can see it at this link: mega.nz/file/boVkgZob#7rPPUqSTLy17Z4MEiWEZz1Xus-k-8y1ixXOvRQs8ZI0For now we have changed to windows 10 as printer server. Very annoying every time windows update will have problems with printer connection. I thought for the printer server i would turn off windows update to avoid this problem. But maybe you have a solution or something like that, Jos?. Thanks, Gabriel.

Two things come to mind:
What if you install the EP310 as a Text-Only printer? That is the most simple and a genuine Windows printer driver. If that doesn’t connect, no driver will.
Get one of those small print server cases with an USB and UTP port. No PC needed anymore, no update problems.
