No problems starting PRN2FILE.
Seems to be a TSR redirecting printer output.
If you want a text file of the output: Why use that, instead of for instance LPT1=DUMMY in config.txt. Then open #lpt1.asc or #lpt1.txt (Windows).

Agreed but on RUN TIME we cannot change config file
Sometime we want to print sometimes we want to generate
If we use lpt1 = dummy then we cannot print natively And if we use lpt1 = dosprint (or any printer) then we cannot generate reports

The .asc and .txt files are always created (unless you specify PRIVATE).
If you omit SEL:, you could eventually cancel the hardcopy. Or SEL: a virtual PDF printer to first have a preview, then print or not.
