Could you rephrase your question and did you read the “Getting started” section of the FAQs page of vdos.info? No idea what “start.bat” would be, nor step 5 of Q&A 3.
There’s a “Add Attachment” button at the upper right. For attachments in replies, you have to use “Reply”, not “Quick Reply”.

The FAQ says this:
"Have a close look at how the application was started before. That would be by some batch file, we’ll assume it is “start.bat”. If it isn’t already in the copied folder(s), copy that also to the C:\vDos folder."
If your program doesn't already have a start.bat, you won't find a start.bat to copy in the c:\vdos directory. The point is that "start.bat" is an EXAMPLE. You should look for the actual command that actually runs the program that you want to run.

Still no notion what “start.bat” would be, even what the attached directory listing is good for.
Somehow you know what “start.bat” is about: Can you clarify that.
If you registered at the vDos forum, you should get a notification of replies to your posts.

Again: START.BAT is only an example. You should find whatever program it is that you are trying to run, and copy that into the vDos folder. Again, START.BAT is only an example that the FAQ use in order to show you how to run the actual program that you want to run.

Q&A version 3.x is started with QA.COM. That is located in a directory with some 18 files starting with QA. The directory listing you submitted shows DOS utilities and drivers not related to Q&A, and of little or no use in vDos.

If you found the Q&A directory, for instance Windows C:\QA3: Copy that directory to where you installed vDos (Windows C:\vDos), so you get C:\vDos\QA3. Change the autoexec.txt file to:
CD QA3 QA
