Hi all,
I'm attempting to get an old DOS program for a business working on a new PC with little luck so far. I have no experience with DOS. Any assistance would be appreciated.
All folders and files off the old PC have been copied into the new VDos folder on the new PC. In the old shortcut properties I can see it has a CMD line of C:\FOX102\FOXPRORT.EXE -t sbt6 and Working: C:\SBT
If I input the same CMD line into VDos it states "Invalid or missing FOXPRORT.RSC file". The file I can manually find in the directory and I know shouldn't be corrupt as everything works perfectly on the old PC. Any ideas as to what's gone wrong here? And how do I go about setting up the SBT directory?
Thanks in advance, Andrew

Assuming you copied the FOX102 and SBT directories to C:\vDos. So you now have C:\vDos\FOX102 and C:\vDos\SBT instead of C:\FOX102 and C:\SBT.
The old shortcut changed the current work directory to C:\SBT and started C:\FOX102\FOXPRORT.EXE. To mimic this, change autoexec.txt to:
REM DOS C: is assigned to Windows C:\vDos REM The DOS current work directory is C:\ CD SBT \FOX102\FOXPRORT.EXE -t sbt6 REM Change PAUSE to EXIT when all runs fine: PAUSE
