I am trying to run Realworld Accounting Ver 8.0 in vdos and am getting nothing but two lines saying "Bad command or file name" I installed vdos at C:\, copied my working RWC80 folder to it, and then call c:\RWC80\rw.bat in the vdos autoexec.bat. Worked on a Windows 7 32 bit machine but would like to move it to a Windows 11 machine using vDos.
Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Seems something external isn’t found by autoexec.txt or rw.bat, my guess would be C:\RWC80\RW.BAT itself.
Add a line with WAIT at the beginning of RW.BAT to verify it’s found/started, and go from there. Eventually with WAIT at other lines.

That’s a rather cryptic bunch of batch files. No idea why RUN80R.BAT starts a second command line processor, neither what COMMAND /C EXIT is supposed to do.
Change COMMAND /E:2048 /C RWCRUNR %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 To: RWCRUNR %1 %2 %3 %4 %5
And eventually delete or rem-out (it won't be executed now) COMMAND /C EXIT

OK, a little headway but no cookie. By placing all the files in the root of the vDos folder (instead of the rwc80 folder in vDos) and removing the "command" item you mentioned, it now gets to the first line after ":run" in the script below and then freezes.
Somebody went out of their way to muddy this up for sure. Anyways, here is the file at stops in:

XM is a DOS extender, discussed here: vdos.proboards.com/thread/201/unhandled-call-9600-error-microfocus. Due to the requirement of a real (and supported) BIOS, it won’t function in DOS emulators like vDos or DOSBox. Your best option would be to turn the Windows 7 PC into a virtual one and run that in Windows 11. Or you could contact assassin, perhaps he found a solution after all. Jos

Thankyou for the reply Jos!
So I know to stop spinning my wheels on this one.
Next I will be trying an Alpha 4 ver7 app on a network, it is my understanding this should work.
Have a good day!
